Strip club owners face jail over IRS issues

A man and his two sons are facing jail time over evading taxes. They did the old school keep two sets of books method when committing their fraud. They charged their dancers stage fees and their patrons entrance fees. These fees were collected in cash. The problem is they kept one set of books for what they provided the IRS and another set of books for what they actually collected.

The IRS caught these guys in a pretty cool way. An IRS agent posed as someone that was trying to purchase the strip clubs. When the agent appeared interested in purchasing the clubs, the owner busted out the second set of books.

I wonder how often this happens. Has to happen a lot since being a strip club owner isn’t really a job associated with strong ethics.
