FTSE 100 Auditors List

Below is a listing of the auditors of the FTSE 100 for 2017. This list also shows some auditors that are going to be changed. For example, Rolls-Royce will be changing their auditors from KPMG because of the scandal that KPMG did not catch.

There are also some other major changes such as Glaxosmithkline.

We also have a list of how many FTSE 100 companies each audit firm audits. As you can see by those statistics that PwC audits far more of the FTSE 100 than any other audit firm. PwC audits 40 firms out of the FTSE 100.

Next up after PwC is KPMG with 24 out of the 100 as their clients. EY audits 14 companies out of the 100. Deloite audits 20 companies out of the 100 and BDO comes in last with only 1 company in the FTSE 100. Now I know that doesn’t total 100 companies, but that is just how the FTSE 100 shakes out right now. As of May 2017 there are only 99 companies listed in the FTSE. We will update that as the FTSE 100 index is updated.

This also proves that the big 4 accounting firms have a monopoly on the audits of the largest companies in the world as you have only 1 company in the top FTSE 100 being audited by a smaller firm.

The list is compiled by FTSE 100 company and the accounting firm that audits them. As you can see by the list, the 4 top accounting firms dominate the audits of the FTSE 100.
