KPMG Sued For $5.6 Billion In Malaysia

KPMG is being sued for an audit they performed for 1MDB. 1MDB was an investment entity where the former prime minister was involved.

1MDB stands for 1Malaysia Development Berhad.

There are 44 partners from KPMG that are involved in the lawsuit.

KPMG audited them from 2010 – 2012.

I think this is an unreasonable amount. KPMG is not solely responsible for this company going under. They didn’t earn anywhere near 5 billion so they shouldn’t be penalized this much.

Deloitte To Help With January 6th Data Mining Project

Deloitte has been awarded another federal project. They will help the U.S. federal government spy on their citizens.

They were awarded a 6.1 million contract to help the federal government create a database of the event that occurred on January 6th, 2021 in Washington D.C.

The feds are paying Deloitte to compile photographs, videos, documents and social media posts related to the riot on January 6th.

Deloitte Lays Assistants Off

Deloitte laid off 560 executive assistants in July 2021. Deloitte blames it on long term remote work, but most of the big 4 have been laying off admins so this isn’t a really good excuse.
